David Wallington, B.A.
Grades 5-8 Math Teacher

Email:

David Wallington is an adventurer who loves the thrill of jumping out of planes, hiking, and camping. But his major goal in life is to raise his children well. He has done a great job, as his son is a junior engineering major at Texas A&M, and his daughter, Heather, will graduate this year from CTL and is Assistant General Manager of The Woodlands Mall Chick-Fil-A.

Having a passion for maps, David earned an Associates of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Lone Star College. His B.A. is in Strategic Communications from Grantham University. Influenced by his dad, a college professor, and his love of learning and math, from the time David was a teenager he wanted to teach. After many years in the business world, he made the decision to pursue his lifelong dream to be a teacher. David’s love of math came early. He remembers sitting on his mother’s lap as a toddler adding numbers he saw on the multiplication cards his mom held up for his brother and verbalizing his answers. Since that time he has loved math and has always been good at it. Now he has a strong desire to share that passion with our CTL students—inspiring them to love math as he does. What he loves most about teaching is seeing the light bulb go off in a child’s head. We are excited that David has joined CTL where he can share his love of math with our 5-8 students and his love of learning and risk taking with all.
