Susan Feathers started her career teaching English in Japan! In 2004, She moved back to the USA and attended Columbia College where she obtained her Bachelor of Art in Psychology. Between 2008-2012 Susan worked as a student teacher and substitute teacher at David Elementary and Conroe ISD while simutaneously becoming certified as a Texas Educator. From 2010 to 2016 she received Texas Educator Certifications in Generalist 4-8, Professional Pedagogy Responsibilities EC-12, and Art EC-12. In 2014 she also recieved her IB certification in Visual Arts SL & HL. 

 

For the past 9 years, Susan held a position at a local private school as the K-12 Art teacher. She also was responsible for Communications, Leadership & Business and Humanities classes. In her previous role she facilitated school and community art shows and school cultural events and festivals. Susan encourages academic achievement, personal growth and cultural awareness with her students. She is excited to bring some art, color, and life in the CTL hallways and create some amazing murals for the CTL campus!
