Catherine Sebree B.F.A
Grades PreK- Grade 8 Music Teacher
Catherine earned a BFA degree in Music Education from New Mexico State University. She has 18 years of teaching experience in the Ysleta Independent School District, in El Paso, Texas and Farmington Municipal School District, in Farmington, New Mexico. Catherine has taught at all grade levels and holds Texas Educator Certificates in Music Education and Fine Arts Education. She has taught Choir, General Music, Fine Arts, Theatre Arts, and Musical Theatre throughout her career. While in the Ysleta Independent School District, in addition to her teaching responsibilities, she assisted in developing district-wide curriculum to address National Education standards in Music and Theatre Education. Catherine also played a key role in developing and starting the district’s first Fine Arts Magnet School at Yselta High School. While in the Farmington Municipal School District, Catherine served on Leadership Committees and developed programs to serve the faculty and community. Since moving to The Woodlands 10 years ago, Catherine has dedicated herself to raising her three sons while continuing to be involved in fine arts through volunteering in various capacities and teaching private piano and voice lessons. She is excited to bring her passion of music and fine arts to the students of CTL. In her spare time, Catherine loves to watch her sons pursue their passions, craft, paint, pursue sports photography, and read.
