Evgeniia’s path to teaching followed a unique journey. She earned a master’s degree in economics and worked in that field for several years before recognizing that her true calling was creative, hands-on work with people. That realization eventually led her to teaching yoga and art.

Evgeniia’s relationship with yoga began at age 16 and grew through more than two decades of personal practice. She holds a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification (RYT-200) and has completed an additional 108-hour children’s yoga teacher training. This specialized training focused on adapting yoga to children’s physical, psychological, and developmental needs while preserving the depth and benefits of the practice. Evgeniia continues to expand her knowledge through the study of anatomy, movement, and breath. She also teaches Gentle Yoga and Vinyasa Flow at VillaSport Athletic Club.

Her children’s classes are playful, engaging, and built around imagery and meaningful interaction—not simply adult yoga adapted into a shorter format. Students learn to strengthen and coordinate their bodies, improve focus and attention, breathe with awareness, release physical tension, and develop balance. They also learn to recognize their own sensations, respect their personal space and that of their classmates, and progress at their own pace without striving for a single “correct” result.

Safety is central to Evgeniia’s teaching. She never physically pushes a child into a pose and carefully maintains appropriate spacing so students can move freely and safely. Through yoga, children gain more than a collection of poses; they develop tools for self-regulation, concentration, and self-awareness that can support them beyond the mat.

Visual creativity has also been a constant thread throughout Evgeniia’s career. Before teaching children’s art, she worked for several years as a web and graphic designer. Her art classes emphasize the creative process rather than a predetermined outcome. Painting—especially oil painting—has long been one of her own creative outlets, and she loves sharing that spirit of exploration and discovery with children.

Evgeniia’s approach to teaching is influenced by Gordon Neufeld’s attachment theory and the belief that children learn through relationships with safe, attentive adults. She strives to create a calm, welcoming environment in which each child feels comfortable exploring, creating, and growing. As the mother of two young sons, Evgeniia practices these principles at home and brings the same grounded, nurturing presence to her classroom.
