Jody Friesen is excited to be teaching Pre-K this year, bringing with her 20 years of experience in education, ranging from working with children of all ages to coaching. Originally from Nebraska, where she met her husband in high school, Jody has been happily married for over 24 years and is the proud mother of four wonderful boys.

In Nebraska, she taught preschool, served as the director of a childcare center, and coached softball and volleyball. She later opened and managed two childcare centers, where she took on the roles of teacher, director, and owner. After moving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jody taught at a private school, became the Director, and ran the 4K program while also coaching middle and high school cross-country.

 

In June 2024, Jody and her family relocated to Texas from Myrtle Beach and are looking forward to getting to know the area. She holds an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelor’s degree in Child Studies, with plans to continue her education and pursue a master’s degree in education. Additionally, she is certified in coaching and has extensive experience working with children of all ages using various teaching methods.

 

Jody is passionate about making learning fun and believes in the hands-on learning through play approach. With her background as a teacher, director, and owner, she brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of different learning styles.

Jody loves running, particularly Ultra Running, and enjoys traveling to different locations to train for 100-mile races.
