Keith Kiddy B.S.
High School Math Teacher
Email:
Keith studied petroleum and chemical engineering with minors in German and Mathematics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was a US Army linguist in German and Arabic throughout his college years. His love of math and skill at sharing that knowledge also allowed him to tutor others in college math at all levels. Growing up in Texas and south Louisiana, his experiences and background led him to the field of oil and gas in a variety of capacities including geophysical mapping and surveying, and eventually chemical engineering. He obtained further certifications as a drilling fluids engineer and worked as a mud and fluids advisor and supervisor on and off the rigs. He expanded his work to New Technologies Field Supervisor testing innovative methods of drilling and drilling fluid utilization eventually becoming a project manager, operations manager, and country manager. This work took him all over the world, allowing him to use his love of mathematics and languages in order to do his job effectively and train, coach, and mentor other people he supervised along the way. Keith has been a guest speaker at professional conferences and for high school and college courses sharing these technologies and his knowledge with others. His love of learning has led him out of oil and gas here to CTL where his passion and excitement for math and languages can be passed on to others and where he can help bring real world applications to our math program.
