Lisa Johns, B.F.A. 
Art & Music Teacher

​Lisa Johns discovered her love of art at 8 when she won her first ribbon at the Houston Rodeo Art Show. After graduation, she was invited to attend the Art Institute of Houston where she graduated with a degree in Illustration and Design.

Lisa is a talented artist with a passion for creativity. Her extensive experience spans studio art, graphic design, and teaching, and she is skilled in various mediums, including painting, drawing, and digital art. She believes art is a means of self-expression and a way to explore the world around us.

Beyond her artistic pursuits, Lisa also has a deep love for music. As a child she began playing the piano and percussion, continuing her musical training in the school band. Now she is committed to helping each student discover their unique style, empowering them to create original works of art and expand their musical knowledge.

Lisa has a love for animals. In addition to caring for her two dogs, two cats, and sweet cockatiel, she volunteers weekly for the Texas Animal Society to help find homes for orphaned cats and kittens. 

Lisa looks forward to this upcoming year at CTL and bringing out the creativity in every student.
