Alisa MacTavish earned a B. S. in Education from Sam Houston State University and holds a Texas Educator Certificate in grades EC-4. Alisa began her teaching career as a Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten teacher in Spring ISD where she taught from 2009 to 2019. She also served in leadership roles as a department chair and a team leader chairing monthly professional learning communities, training instructional staff, establishing assignments for the department, and mentoring teachers. Since 2019 she has served as Kindergarten teacher and summer Pre-Kindergarten teacher in Conroe ISD where she coordinated with the team and communicated daily with stakeholders to increase social and academic readiness. She also served as a student teacher mentor and planned and implemented lessons based on student needs. Alisa comes to us highly recommended by her former administrators and teachers as a teacher who loves children, knows their individual interests, understands the importance of social and play, and will do anything to help each child be confident. Alisa exhibits all the characteristics of a great early childhood educator including patience, passion for teaching, love for young children, caring and compassion, flexibility, empathy, and creativity. We are excited to have Alisa join our CTL Team.
