Miryam earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (EC–6) with a Bilingual Supplement from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. She has taught fourth and fifth grade math, science, and language arts at Colegio Inglés, an international school in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, where she also served as Lead Teacher. Miryam has also served as a substitute teacher at Lincoln International School in Managua, Nicaragua, as well as in Pasadena Independent School District in Houston, Texas.
Miryam has experience working with students from preschool through high school and values building strong, supportive relationships with learners of all ages. She is passionate about teaching and making a positive impact on students’ lives. Miryam is committed to helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning while discovering their individual strengths. She believes all students can succeed with encouragement, support, and an engaging classroom environment.
Outside of the classroom, Miryam enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Mika. Her hobbies include scrapbooking and photography. Miryam is a lifelong learner who is always seeking new opportunities to grow professionally and personally.
