Rebecca Walls, M.A.T.

Rebecca Walls holds a B.A. in Childhood Studies from Bennington College in Vermont and a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) with a Specialization in Educational Technology from National University in California. As a member of Pi Lambda Theta, she graduated with high honors from National University, and she holds a Google Educator Certification.

 

With over 20 years of experience in education, Rebecca has taught preschool to 4th grade in California, Arizona, and Texas. She has received the SMART Exemplary Educator award and was named Teacher of the Year at a school in Arizona. She has led after-school clubs in Minecraft, Coding, Lego Robotics, and Musical Theater. Recently, she served as the lead teacher for 2nd and 3rd grades at a private school in The Woodlands, organizing a Lego Robotics Showcase, an Economics Fair, and several musical theater performances. 

 

Rebecca is excited to return to her early childhood roots as the Pre-K Teacher at CTL. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She also has a passion for tap dance, which she has studied for 42 years, including performing on Broadway in NYC. Additionally, she has designed her own educational technology website to inspire the use of 21st-century tools in education. For Rebecca, being an educator means instilling a love of learning filled with creativity and imagination.
