8th Grade Students Moving Up Celebration Week

8th grade moving up celebration week has been a huge success thanks to our amazing group of 7th and 8th graders and their fabulous teachers Ms. Harrison, Ms. Want, and Ms. Wellbrock who planned a week of adventures that began Monday with a fun and educational trip to Galveston to Moody Gardens Tropical Tracks. Tuesday they visited the TGR Exotics Wildlife Park where they took a walk on the wild side and got up close and personal with some of the planets most exotic, fascinating, and endangered animals. Wednesday they had an eye-opening and "powerful" visit to the Holocaust Museum in Houston. Thursday Grades 5-6 and Mr. Milner joined them for a field trip to George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond, Texas where they experienced a hundred years of Texas History brought to life through a hands-on, immersive, interactive experience that included a Civil War Reenactment. They are wrapping up today with the building of the 5-8 science garden and a field trip to Subzero this morning, lunch at Mod Pizza, and an afternoon at the movies where their parents are invited to join them to watch "The Best of Enemies." Teachers and students have had a fabulous week of educational and team-building opportunities. Thanks to all for a fabulous wee!.
