Tina Schwartz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Sam Houston State University and Texas teaching certificates in Early Childhood Education Grades PK-K, Elementary Self-Contained Grades 1-8, Elementary Health Education Grades 1-8 and English as a Second Language Grades PK-8. She has also received extensive training through the prestigious School Literacy and Culture Project through Rice University. Tina brings 20 years of experience as PreK through First Grade teacher and team leader at Cedar Brook Elementary, Rummel Creek Elementary and The Bear Blvd. School, all in Spring Branch ISD, and private schools including the Bayou Village School and Children of The Woodlands.
Tina is a dedicated and nurturing teaching professional with a gift to meet the needs of each individual child and instill a love of learning by designing lessons and projects that bring forth fundamental academic and social/emotional development while honoring individuality. She has a proven ability to offer individualized support, ensuring that all student needs and goals are met and a strong belief that teaching is based on respect, building relationships and working in harmony with one another. Tina provides a warm, loving, and secure environment for children and teaches through a play-based, discovery-oriented, stimulating, print-rich, fun and meaningful environment and has a deep understanding that children learn best when they are actively involved and have ownership.
