Character Education
& Leadership Development

At CTL, character education is not a separate subject — it is lived every day in our classrooms and community. We emphasize honesty, respect, responsibility, empathy, and integrity, guiding students to practice these values in real and meaningful ways. A clear and consistent discipline policy, grounded in restorative practices, ensures that challenges become opportunities for growth rather than disruptions to learning.

Leadership at CTL is nurtured from the earliest years. Students develop confidence and responsibility through Morning Meetings, Council sessions, enrichment clubs, Reading Buddies, and passion projects, where their voices are heard and their ideas shape our community. Older students often mentor younger peers, while all students participate in student-led conferences that foster ownership of their learning and reflection on their growth.

By weaving character and leadership into daily experiences — from collaborative projects to service initiatives to celebrating each other’s strengths — CTL students learn to lead with both courage and compassion. They graduate not only academically prepared, but also ready to make a positive difference in their communities and the world.
