We’re excited that you’re considering the Center for Teaching & Learning for your family! Here’s how to begin the application process:

1. Schedule a Tour Meet with our Head of School, Dr. Linda Ellis, and see CTL in action. To schedule a tour, email lellis@centerforteachingandlearning.com or call our school office at (832)-474-8214.

2. Student Shadow Day After your tour, your child(ren) will be invited to spend a day at CTL. This “shadow day” helps us get to know your child and allows them to experience our community firsthand before enrollment.

3. Submit an Application Complete the online application with a $250 non-refundable fee. Applications and payments are processed through RenWeb. [Click here to get started.]

Please Note: Submitting an online application, fee payment, and completing a school tour will place your child in the applicant pool. Unless you request removal, your child’s application will remain on file and will be considered for admission at the appropriate time.

Class Size Limits

• Pre-K and Kindergarten: up to 10 students each

• Grades 1–8: multi-age classrooms (1–2, 3–4, 5–6, 7–8) limited to 20 students each

• High School: classes limited to 20 students each

Students are admitted on a rolling basis until all available spaces are filled.

Admission Criteria When making admission decisions, we consider:

• The date of the original application

• Whether CTL’s program is a good fit for the student’s learning needs

• The child’s fit within the classroom group

• Parent support for CTL’s mission and curriculum

• Space availability

• CTL strives to maintain a balance of boys and girls in each class.

• We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, or national or ethnic origin.

• As a small non-profit school, CTL does not have the resources to provide a separate special education program or a dedicated special education teacher.
